Govt exempts basic customs duty, health cess on import of oxygen, oxygen-related equipment for 3 months

Medical grade oxygen, oxygen concentrators along with flow meter, regulator, connectors, and tubing, VPSA and PSA oxygen plants, cryogenic oxygen ASUs producing liquid/ gaseous oxygen, are some of the items that have been exempted from basic customs duty and health cess.

The Government of India decided on April 24 to grant full exemption from basic customs duty and health cess on the import of the following items related to oxygen and oxygen-related equipment for a period of three months with immediate effect.

Here's a list of oxygen, oxygen-related equipment that have been exempted from customs duty, health cess:

Centre appeals against ruling on levy of GST on maintenance charges to resident welfare associations

  The Centre has preferred a writ appeal before the Madras High Court against a single judge's order that flat or villa owners paying more than ₹7,500 a month towards maintenance charges to their residents’ welfare associations must pay Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the rate of 18% only for the amount exceeding ₹7,500 and not for the entire monthly contribution.
